Graphic recording & technical writing by Rebecca Lazenby

Graphic recording

At your event, I work at the wall on huge sheets of paper, drawing and writing to capture what people say. Using words and images that reflect and record ideas, the drawings evolve during the event into charts that tell the story of the day.

Activity and workshop templates

If you are planning an activity for your participants, I can create some templates or charts before the meeting. agenda Some clients choose to laminate the templates so that they can be reused. For example, if your participants need to express a preference for a number of options, I can represent those options visually on a laminated chart, and your participants can stick stars or post-its on their preferences. Have a look here at some examples

Templates also provide visual impact for participants as they enter the space. Some clients like me to prepare agendas, charts depicting key themes and stories to date.

Summary charts

Summary charts can pull together themes, key messages and images or represent timelines. Because they are not drawn live, they can be more polished, though I still draw in my usual style. See a summary chart here.

Other stuff

If you are interested in something you can't see or want to bounce some ideas around - just give me a call on or drop me a line.

Technical writing

I can help you with writing tasks using plain English and a dynamic tone. I am trained to write manuals and online help, instructions and precis. My favourite writing assignments are those where I am asked to put documents into plain English. I'm a communications studies graduate, a Master of technology and am currently working towards a qualification in technical writing. I have twenty years of corporate experience.
